Why are Subway restaurants closing on July 12?

If you drove by your local Subway today hoping to get in on some footlong action ahead of the Home Run Derby, you were probably met with a disappointing stomach gurgle.  Nothing is worse than setting your mind on something — or coming to peace with the fact that Subway is your dinner option — only to have the rug ripped out from under you.

But something that doesn’t suck is free stuff, and that’s what Subway is offering as a reason for closing its stores early on July 12th.

Why is Subway closing on July 12?

All Subway restaurants will be closing early on July 12th in order to prepare for their One Million Sub Giveaway.

Recently, Subway announced a huge menu revamp. The Eat Fresh Refresh included 20 menu updates. From new recipes to additional ingredients to even some new sandwiches the concept is to give guests the best quick service restaurant experience.

The hullabaloo is in regards to a new menu that Subway is unveiling, something that the sandwich chain has been slowly filtering into certain markets for the last few months. If you’ve seen those new baked panini sandwiches, then you’ve seen part of the new rollout.

Subway store hours: What time does Subway close on July 12?

All Subway stores will close at 6 pm local time and reopen at their regularly scheduled time the next day.

Subway Coupons 2021: How to get free Subway July 13?

From 10 a.m. till noon local time, participating locations will be offering a free six-inch Turkey Cali Fresh sub. The free food offer is available on a limited basis and guests must request the free food offer.

No coupon will be required, just walk in — in all likelihood endure standing in a line — and your free sub will be ready for you.
