When is the last time Oklahoma State beat Oklahoma football?

Oklahoma State football seek their first win against rival Oklahoma since 2015 when the two Big 12 teams meet in Bedlam on Saturday in Stillwater.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys, historically, don’t really do well whenever they face the Oklahoma Sooners on the gridiron. While Bedlam is a rivalry many college football fans try to watch on an annual basis, it’s one of the most lopsided rivalries this sport has to offer.

The Cowboys don’t fare well against Oklahoma and the Sooners sure have controlled the recent meetings with Oklahoma State. Oklahoma has managed to win 17 meetings dating back to 2000 while Oklahoma State has won just four.

The Sooners are currently on a six-game winning streak over the Cowboys after having won every meeting since 2015.

Bedlam history: When did Oklahoma State last beat Oklahoma?

Oklahoma State’s last win over their rival came in 2014.

During that 2014 contest, early on it appeared as if the Sooners would just run away with the win. Oklahoma jumped out to a 28-14 lead at halftime as Oklahoma’s offense appeared borderline unstoppable for Oklahoma State’s defense.

But the Cowboys were able to mount a remarkable comeback in the fourth quarter. Desmond Roland cut Oklahoma State’s deficit to a touchdown with a three-yard touchdown run, putting the score at 28-21 with Oklahoma on top.

After a lengthy drive, the Sooners responded with a short touchdown run of their own to set the score at 35-21 in Oklahoma’s favor.

Then Mason Rudolph tossed a 43-yard pass to Brandon Shephard to cap off a quick scoring drive and get Oklahoma State within seven points with a 35-28 score. And then, with less than a minute to play, Tyreek Hill returned a punt for 92 yards and a touchdown, tying things up at 35-35 and forcing overtime.

In overtime, Oklahoma State kicker Ben Grogan knocked a 21-yard field goal through the uprights and the Cowboys beat the Sooners 38-35.
