When is the 2021 NFL Draft?

Looking ahead to when the next rookie class get the call at the NFL Draft.

At the end of Super Bowl LV, only one team — either the Kansas City Chiefs or Tampa Bay Buccaneers — will be able to hoist the Lombardi Trophy up and call themselves champions. But the end of the NFL season all means a look towards the future, and no event exemplifies that outlook better than the annual NFL Draft.

With every team resetting to a 0-0 record after February 7, the focus turns towards how teams’ front offices will look to make the most of the offseason to build their franchises more and continue towards the next level — with a Super Bowl win in mind.

And every offseason, at the NFL Draft, annually held in late April, we get to take a look at some new faces that may turn into the next faces of franchises, the next potential MVPs and maybe even the next men to one day get their own gold jacket and a place in Canton, Ohio.

So when will the 2021 NFL Draft officially take place?

The 2021 NFL Draft will begin with round one held on Thursday, April 29. Picks for rounds two and three will be made on Friday, April 30, before all remaining picks take place on Saturday, May 1.

The 2021 NFL Draft is scheduled to take place in Cleveland, OH, but as with all things sports, life and COVID-19, these plans are up in the air. And recent remarks by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made it seem that the possibility of a second straight all-virtual NFL Draft is all too real.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will have the first overall pick in the 2021 draft and are expected to take standout Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

After the Jaguars, the rest of the top-5 draft picks are scheduled to go to the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins (via the Houston Texans), the Atlanta Falcons and the Cincinnati Bengals.
