Urban Meyer’s wife Shelley trolls Michigan over record vs. Ohio State

Shelley Meyer never misses an opportunity to troll Michigan on Twitter.

Urban Meyer led Ohio State to a national championship and laid the foundation for Ryan Day to potentially lead the Buckeyes to another national title as the Ohio State Buckeyes head coach. He also had a perfect 7-0 record against rival Michigan during his tenure in Columbus.

That’s a record that’s not forgotten among Ohio State and Michigan fans alike. It’s also a stat that’s not forgotten in the Meyer household.

While Meyer is focused on preparing for his first season as an NFL head coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars, his wife, Shelley took a minute on Twitter to remind Michigan fans they never beat Urban when he was the Ohio State football coach.

Shelley Meyer replied to a tweet from the Fox Sports college football account with the dagger to the heart of Wolverines fans.

There’s not much Michigan fans can say in response to this tweet other than to keep their heads down and mouths closed. They know they have been on the wrong side of this rivalry for the better part of this century. The shift from Meyer to Day hasn’t shown much promise for Jim Harbaugh to snap the streak and the Michigan head coach has found himself on the hot seat in large part because of his inability to beat Ohio State on the field and on the recruiting trail.

Will this be the year Michigan finally beats Ohio State?

Don’t count on it.
