UCLA continues magical run, Elite 8 field set

Sweet 16 Sunday featured a pair of #1 seeds comfortably advancing to the Elite 8, while 11th seeded UCLA continued its run with its fourth win of the tournament.

In a game that Alabama’s Alex Reese forced overtime with a three-pointer at the second half buzzer, UCLA dominated the extra period and is headed to the Elite 8 for the first time since 2008.

In the nightcap, USC controlled “Pac-12 After Dark” with a dominant 82-68 win over Oregon.

Top overall seed Gonzaga rolled in the day’s opening game, leading by as many as 27 en route to an 83-65 win over Creighton. The Bulldogs are into the Elite 8 for the fourth time in the last six NCAA tournaments.

After jumping out to a 13-point first half lead, #1 seed Michigan never looked back in a 76-58 win over Florida State at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
