Tyreek Hill shuts down two-time Olympian for bizarre call-out

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill responded to two-time Olympian Eddie Lovett’s call-out on Twitter.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill has the reputation of being one of the fastest players in the NFL. He even has had a rivalry with former Olympic Gold Medalist Usain Bolt and challenged him to a race. Yet, Bolt is not the only Olympian he has heard from.

On Friday, two-time Olympian Eddie Lovett called out Hill, saying that the wide receiver wasn’t the fastest when he ran track and that he “was nice 10 years ago.” Hill responded to Lovett’s tweet in kind, saying that he plays football.

That was not the end of the interaction, as Lovett responded, calling Hill “nothing but hype. The back-and-forth continued, which you can read below:

At the NHL All-Star Game in Las Vegas, Hill issued a challenge to the multiple time Olympic Gold Medalist in Bolt for a race. Bolt responded in quite the savage way of tweeting out a photo of Hill finishing in last place in a fastest player challenge at the Pro Bowl with the caption “you mean this guy?” The winner of that race was Dallas Cowboys rookie linebacker Micah Parsons.

Hill is coming off a 2021 season where he caught 111 passes for 1,239 yards and nine touchdowns on 159 targets through 17 regular-season games. In Kansas City’s three playoff games, Hill recorded 23 catches for 285 yards and three touchdowns. The Chiefs fell short of their Super Bowl goal, as they lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game.
