Tyler Smith has all-time quote about Cowboys picking him in first round

Dallas Cowboys’ first-round pick Tyler Smith had a quote for the ages at podium on Friday.

Tired of getting dumped on by the national media, new Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Tyler Smith unloaded the steamiest of quotes you will ever hear at an introductory press conference.

So much was made on the Cowboys reaching on the former Tulsa standout at No. 24. While some Cowboys fans would have preferred Kenyon Green out of Texas A&M and Zion Johnson out of Boston College if Dallas was going with an offensive lineman in the first round, both were already off the board before America’s Team was on the clock. At the podium, Smith lived up to the hype.

“I try to stay away from the media,” said Smith on being criticized. ” I feel like everybody has an opinion. Just like buttholes, everyone has one.”

With the Cowboys now in possession of two Ty Smiths in the trenches (Tyron and Tyler), the former Tulsa star only needs eight letters on his nameplate for NFL fans everywhere to know who he is and what he is about. Smith is absolutely not going to cut it!

If Jerry Jones wanted to connect the dots, Smith’s No. 69 jersey can become an all-time best seller.

Cowboys OL Tyler Smith has opinions about other people’s opinions about him

If there was ever any doubt about Smith being ’bout them Cowboys, that is a thing of the past. Like the Cowboys going to Super Bowls, Smith has the grandest of expectations for himself. For a franchise defined by winning the press conference, Smith has already earned an incredible second contract from The Joneses without ever even playing a snap in a Thanksgiving Day extravaganza.

Not to say that Smith needs to be riding co-pilot alongside everyone of Jerry Jones’ weekly press conferences from here on out, but the man did have Mike McCarthy cackling in stitches with his unforgettable analogy about opinions. It is only fitting that this press conference was conducted at The Star in Frisco. Jones may love to be the star of the show, but Smith can certainly hold his own.

No matter how it ends for him in Dallas, Smith will always be the king of his porcelain domain.
