Tracking Covid-19 Vaccine Distribution – WSJ

How quickly are people getting vaccinated for Covid-19? Track the progress of vaccine delivery and administration below. Data are updated regularly, using the latest available numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Our World in Data, a collaboration between researchers at the University of Oxford and the nonprofit organization Global Change Data Lab.

President Biden initially set a target of administering 100 million doses of the vaccine by April 29, the 100th day of his presidency, and later said he was hopeful the U.S. could reach an average of 1.5 million vaccines per day. The pace of vaccinations surpassed 2 million a day in early March.

The Journal is measuring vaccination progress in the U.S. three ways: the share of each state’s population that have received at last one dose; the number of doses that have been delivered to states; and what percentage of doses that have been distributed have been given to people, which can indicate which states are administering vaccines most efficiently.

Select a state below to show more details. Note that in some states, vaccines are being administered for only certain groups in the current phase. Risk-group populations are estimated by Ariadne Labs and Surgo Ventures, and account for overlaps between priority groups.
