The Golden Cage to make UFC Fight Pass debut on Saturday.

An Italian mixed martial arts promotion makes history and comes to UFC Fight Pass this Saturday, marking the first time an organization from this region has appeared on the streaming platform.

The Golden Cage will make their streaming service debut with TGC 3 and the event will feature no less than two title fights, several UFC hopefuls, undefeated prospects, and even a recent UFC veteran.

Launching in 2017, the promotion had big plans for 2020 before the Covid-19 pandemic hit this world and halted those plans. Now they are back with what they say will be a very busy 2021 with 10 plus events starting with TGC 3 on Saturday.

The main event will feature a rematch between local rivals Leonardo Damiani (9-2-1) and Marco Saccaro (6-2) for the inaugural TGC welterweight title. The pair first met in 2018 with Damiani coming away with a decision victory.

Damiani is also highly regarded in Italy and is touted to potentially enter the UFC in 2021. The 30-year-old won back-to-back fights in Cage Warriors and Parus in Dubai in November and December last year, respectfully. Once again, it is a quick turnaround for the Italian.

Who is fighting at The Golden Cage 3?

Elsewhere on the card, there is an inaugural featherweight title fight between undefeated prospects Michele Baiano (3-0) and Nizar Ben Amara (4-0), a co-main event featuring two local stars Wisem Hammami (4-0) and Franc Agalliu (3-0), and a high-level lightweight clash between UFC hopefuls Greg Shestakov (7-1) and Walter Cogliandro (9-1-1).

Recent UFC veteran Danilo Belluardo (12-6) returns to his homeland with the aim to get his career back on track at TGC this Saturday. The 26-year-old suffered two losses in the UFC in 2019, losing to rising lightweight Joel Alvarez and Olympian Mark Madsen in 2019. These losses prompted his exit from the promotion and last year he would suffer another loss on the European scene. He goes up against Croatian journeyman Dragan Pesic (18-22) in a must-win contest.

The Golden Cage 3 takes place on Saturday on UFC Fight Pass and, due to the time difference, should act as a perfect appetizer for UFC Vegas 18.

The start time for TGC 3 is 6 pm local, that’s 12 pm EST and 9 am PST.
