Taylor Swift is back on tour, kicking off her long-awaited Eras Tour on March 18th, 2023 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Fans eagerly awaited her return, and the pop superstar did not disappoint, treating her lucky ticket holders to a journey through the musical eras of her career.
In addition to performing her greatest hits from each of her past albums, Taylor Swift also paid homage to memorable looks from her many style eras through the years.
The singer started the show with a performance of songs from her album “Lover,” including “Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince” and “Cruel Summer,” while wearing an Atelier Versace bodysuit and Christian Louboutin boots.
Swift then performed a trio of hits from her album “Fearless,” including “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me,” wearing a gold fringed flapper dress that was nearly identical to one she wore during her “Speak Now” tour in 2011
She changed up her look for the “Evermore” segment, donning a flowing marigold corset gown by Etro to sing songs like “‘Tis the Damn Season” and “Champagne Problems.”
Swift also paid tribute to her darker, edgier “Reputation” era, slipping into an asymmetrical bodysuit adorned with a sparkling red snake before performing a setlist from her “Speak Now” era.
She then recreated her look from her “22” music video for her “Red” era performance, while making a small change to the message on her sequined tee. Swift then donned a lovely custom lavender Alberta Ferretti gown for her “Folklore” performance, before changing into an all-over embellished two-piece set by Roberto Cavalli in a rich fuchsia hue for her “1989” segment.
Swift ended her set with a selection of songs from her most recent album, “Midnights,” wearing a shiny beaded bodysuit designed by Oscar de la Renta. In a statement shared with Page Six Style, Alberta Ferretticonfirmed that she will be creating a “selection” of different looks for the Eras Tour, saying:
“Thinking about these stage dresses for her also pushed me to reflect on my career milestones, and I think what we have created reflects this journey where the key elements of my style stand out: lightness, femininity, romance, attention to detail, and a delicate, gentle seduction.”
This marks Taylor Swift first tour since 2018, and Swift has some really ambitious plans in place, according to insiders.
