Lewis Hamilton has a well-documented love for music, and Danny Jones, lead vocalist/guitarist for McFly, revealed how the Mercedes driver is keeping up with that alongside the Formula 1 schedule.
Hamilton has established himself as the most successful driver which Formula 1 has ever seen, holding the records for most grand prix wins, podiums and pole positions among others.
His tally of seven World Championship titles meanwhile puts him level with Michael Schumacher, that ultimate record currently shared between these Formula 1 icons.
And Hamilton’s pursuit of title number eight rolls on, the Mercedes driver showing no signs of approaching the Formula 1 exit door now at the age of 38.
Hamilton is already though highly active in ventures outside of Formula 1, a growing business portfolio undoubtedly setting him up for life beyond his days as a driver.
And alongside all that, Hamilton also enjoys music as a hobby as he writes and records music, having also appeared as a guest artist on Christina Aguilera’s 2018 track “Pipe”, revealing some time later that the ‘XNDA’ figure was him.
And now another musician in McFly’s Danny Jones has lifted the lid further on Hamilton’s love for music, revealing that the Mercedes racer has a mini studio which he takes with him on the road.
“I think music and sport marry really well,” said Jones, as per Music-News.com.
“Everyone I meet in the world of music wants to be a racing car driver and every racing car driver wants to be a musician. I know Lewis Hamilton does – he has a little bit of a studio set-up when he goes on tour. I’ve seen!”

McFly are set to headline this year’s Silverstone Festival which will take place at the Silverstone Circuit from August 25-27, a month-and-a-half after Formula 1’s visit for the British Grand Prix.
Hamilton is by far the most successful driver in Formula 1 history around Silverstone, having claimed eight career victories to date at his home race.
Mercedes’ early F1 2023 struggles compared to the dominant Red Bull squad mean victory number nine may be a tough ask for Hamilton this time around, but at a venue which he loves and with the roar of the home crowd behind him, never say never!
