Pros react to Jiri Prochazka flattening Dominick Reyes

Fighters react to Jiri Prochazka landing a statement-making KO of Dominick Reyes at UFC Vegas 25.

Just two fights into his UFC tenure, former RIZIN light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka now sets his sights potentially on the winner of Jan Blachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira, as he put away former title challenger Dominick Reyes in devastating fashion in the UFC Vegas 25 main event.

Reyes entered this fight off two unsuccessful attempts to capture the UFC light heavyweight championship, which also marked the first two losses of his professional MMA career. Reyes dropped a controversial decision to Jon Jones at UFC 247, many which thought he deserved the nod in, and was finished by Jan Blachowicz at UFC 253.

Prochazka, the former RIZIN light heavyweight champion, looked to continue the momentum he started with a second-round finish of Volkan Oezdemir in his debut at UFC 251.

Prochazka brought pressure to Reyes throughout the fight with his unorthodox striking, busting open Reyes’s nose in the opening frame.

Reyes, however, would not be deterred fighting with fire as the two traded wild blows and tried to outbox one another. Reyes took things a step further by landing takedown and trying to lock in a guillotine and a triangle choke.

Prochazka, however, proved to simply be too much for him to handle. And in the second, he dropped Reyes with a horrifying spinning elbow that caused Reyes to fall to the canvas face-first and out cold.
