Packers reportedly eyeing this NFL Draft move to help Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers could trade up in the first round of the NFL Draft to try and select their top wide receiver choice.

There will be riots all over Wisconsin if the Green Bay Packers and general manager Brian Gutekunst don’t use one of their first-rounders on a wide receiver. Luckily for worried fans, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.

Matter of fact, Gutekunst could move up to land the guy he wants. Per Tom Pelissero, the Packers are a team to watch to potentially trade up in the first round. Will that end up happening?

Packers fans are ready for the team to take a wideout

Leading up to Thursday’s first round, Green Bay owns picks No. 22 and No. 28. They’ve been linked of late with both George Pickens and Chris Olave. If Gutekunst wants either bad enough, or if he’s got someone else in mind, then he could be motivated to indeed move up.

Green Bay is in desperate need of a young speedster to spice up the offense for Rodgers. After trading Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders, it has left a monster void in the aerial attack for this team.

No one is expected to come in and replace Adams’ production. Matter of fact, he and Rodgers had chemistry on the field that’s nearly impossible to match on the pitch. However, Rodgers needs a new weapon and Gutekunst must deliver for him. The GM knows there’s loads of pressure on him to get the first round right.

Fans would be thrilled with either Pickens or Olave. In the coming hours, Green Bay will be on the clock. Leading up to that, people will now be waiting to see if Gutekunst hands his pick in sooner than originally thought.
