The Pac-12 will not have a team in the College Football Playoff again this year. The loss by the Oregon Ducks to the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City ended the conference’s dream but it clinched Utah’s spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game.

Now, Utah hosts Colorado on Friday knowing they’ll have a chance to win the Pac-12 and then they can relax and wait to see who their opponent will be.

Three teams from the Pac-12 North are still alive for a berth in the Pac-12 Championship Game. Oregon, Oregon State and Washington State are all hoping to punch their ticket to play Utah.

Oregon has the easiest path as the only one of the three to control its destiny while Oregon State and Washington State need some help.

  • Oregon State: Beat Oregon, Washington State loses and they are in

Depending on the results of Friday’s Apple Cup, we’ll know if Washington State and Oregon State are still alive. If Washington beats Washington State, Oregon will lock up the North regardless of what happens in the Civil War.

If Washington State wins, then Oregon will need to win to get in.

If Washington State wins and Oregon State wins, then the Beavers are in.

Oregon is a 6.5-point favorite against Oregon State in the Civil War, according to WynnBET.

Washington State is a 1-point favorite over Washington in the Apple Cup.
