Michigan teacher leaves job over mandate to remove LGBTQ pride flag

STURGIS, Mich. — A Michigan teacher left his job in the middle of the school day Monday rather than comply with a district-ordered mandate to remove a pride flag from his classroom.

Russell Ball posted a video to social media shortly after leaving Three Rivers Middle School. Ball, 43, taught physical education, but was primarily a health teacher.
