Bridgers made headlines when she destroyed a guitar during her SNL debut, performing songs “Kyoto” and “I Know the End.” Elsewhere in the episode, host Dan Levy performed a Super Bowl show tune!

The 2021 Super Bowl was full of epic musical moments

Super Bowl LV had plenty for music fans, from Miley Cyrus’ “TikTok Tailgate” pre-show and H.E.R.’s rendition of “America the Beautiful” to Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church’s take on the National Anthem, and of course The Weeknd’s electrifying halftime show (more on that later). Finally, the evening was capped off with Verizon’s star-studded virtual concert.

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” topped the Billboard Hot 100 for a fourth week

The track ruled the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a fourth week, after launching at the top spot three weeks ago. Plus, two songs hit the Hot 100’s top 10 for the first time — The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears” jumped from No. 14 to No. 8, becoming his 12th top 10, and CJ’s debut hit “Whoopty” climbed 16-10. Nominations for the 2021 Critics Choice Awards were announced

The Critics Choice Association unveiled their 2021 nominations on Monday (Feb. 8). Netflix film Mank earned the most nods with 12, including best score for Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The dream team are also nominated in the same category alongside Jon Batiste for the trio’s work on Disney’s Soul. BTS will be the subject of an upcoming MTV Unplugged special

MTV announced on Tuesday (Feb. 9) that the global K-pop superstars will take the stage from Seoul, South Korea, for a special that will air on Feb. 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET. The show will offer fans a “front-row seat to never-before-seen versions of the group’s most career-defining hits and songs from their latest album Be (Essential Edition), in intimate settings,” according to a release. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2021 nominees

Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, Devo, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, Iron Maiden, Jay-Z, Chaka Khan, Carole King, Fela Kuti, LL Cool J, New York Dolls, Rage Against the Machine, Todd Rundgren, Tina Turner and Dionne Warwick are all on the 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ballot, per the Feb. 10 announcement from The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Taylor Swift announced re-recorded Fearless album and dropped “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)”

The country-pop crossover star announced that she finished re-recording her first Billboard 200 No. 1 album Fearless and will be releasing it on April 9, Billboard has confirmed with her rep. But we didn’t get tired of waiting since she released “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” on Friday (Feb. 12). Judas and the Black Messiah soundtrack included a Nipsey Hussle and Jay-Z collab

The East Coast hip-hop heavyweight and late West Coast legend’s first-ever collaboration, “What It Feels Like,” dropped Friday (Feb. 12) as part of the Judas and the Black Messiah: The Inspired Album in tandem with the film’s premiere on HBO Max. The soundtrack’s executive producers Aaron “Dash” Sherrod and Hit-Boy told Billboard about how one of the most special contributions of the album came to life and the connection between Hussle and the biopic’s central character Fred Hampton.
