Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra Presents New Chamber Music Series at the New Marigny Theater

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO), the region’s premier orchestra based in New Orleans, introduces its reimagined chamber music series, MUSIC AT THE NEW MARIGNY. Curated by LPO’s new music Director Matthew Kraemer, this series will provide an intimate concert experience with music by composers including Stravinsky, Gershwin, Bach, and more performed by LPO musicians. Each program will also feature a piece of music written by a local composer to amplify the musical artistry that is represented throughout the New Orleans metro community. MUSIC AT THE NEW MARIGNY concerts will take place at the New Marigny Theater in New Orleans. The four local composers to be featured throughout the series are PETER DUTILLYTUCKER FULLERMALCOLM PARSON, and CHRISTOPHER TRAPANI. Their works have been heard and recognized within the local community and on a national stage. DUTILLY is a violist and an LPO musician, FULLER is an LPO-commissioned composer and past collaborator with the Marigny Opera House and Marigny Ballet, PARSON is a past member of the Turtle Island Quartet and GRAMMY-nominated artist for their feature in Terence Blanchard’s album, “Absence,” and TRAPANI is a BBC and Radio France commissioned composer and has had works performed in Carnegie Hall in New York City.
