L’Jarius Sneed sends out thankful message after Chiefs dedicate win to him

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed appreciates Kansas City Chiefs team as they dedicate win to him in his Week 14 absence.

In their dominating 48-9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, the Kansas City Chiefs dedicated their win to a teammate who was there in spirit.

On Sunday, Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed wasn’t at Arrowhead Stadium. Sneed was back home in Minden, Louisiana, spending time with his family in the wake of tragedy. Sneed’s older brother, T’Qarontarion Harrison, was killed on Friday.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs coach Andy Reid dedicated the resounding win to Sneed, which the 24-year-old cornerback appreciated. Fans also showed their love for No. 38, displaying signs in the crowd as they prayed for the Sneed family.

Sneed answered the outpour with one word: Kingdom.

Chiefs dedicate win to L’Jarius Sneed in wake of brother’s death

Sneed’s brother, known as TQ, died as a result of a stabbing wound in his back that punctured his lung. Harrison attempted to drive himself to a local medical center, but he crashed his car into the backside of the building.

Harrison was then transported 30 miles away to Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport, where he died of his injuries during emergency surgery. Angela Washington has been arrested in Harrison’s death and charged with second-degree homicide.

Harrison and Sneed grew up in the small town of Minden, which is located about 30 miles outside of Shreveport. When Sneed’s parents were in prison during his childhood, Harrison is the one who raised him, according to a recent interview with the Kansas City Star. When Sneed was a baby, a nine-year old Harrison “changed diapers, ironed clothes and walked his brothers to school.”

Now, Sneed has lost the brother who raised him through impossible times, and Chiefs Kingdom is commemorating L’Jarius and his biggest fan, TQ, in this difficult time.
