Israel Adesanya vs. Jared Cannonier card, time, channel guide

Two title fights headline a stacked, star-filled night of action at UFC 276, the biggest portion of UFC’s International Fight Week. Israel Adesanya vs. Jared Cannonier main events.

For the first time in three years, the UFC’s International Fight Week returns to its normal July home, the featured attraction of which will be the UFC 276 event that takes place on Saturday, July 2, from Las Vegas’s T-Mobile Arena.

The main event of the evening will see the UFC middleweight championship on the line when Israel Adesanya defends against Jared Cannonier.

This will mark Adesanya’s fifth defense of the UFC’s 185-pound title since winning it from Robert Whittaker at UFC 243. Adesanya is unbeaten at middleweight, with his sole MMA loss coming when he tried to challenge for the light heavyweight title. As a UFC champion, Adesanya has pulled off wins against Yoel Romero, Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori, in addition to a rematch with Whittaker.

Cannonier has won five of his last six and is coming off a knockout of Derek Brunson at UFC 271. Cannonier also has notable wins over Kelvin Gastelum, Jack Hermansson and Anderson Silva.

The co-main event will see the trilogy featherweight title bout between champion Alexander Volkanovski and challenger Max Holloway.

The two first met at UFC 245, a card that saw Volkanovski take a one-sided decision to dethrone Holloway at featherweight champion. The two met in a rematch on Fight Island at UFC 251, with Volkanovski winning a closer, and controversial, decision.

Since then, Volkanovski has successfully defended the gold against Brian Ortega and “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung, while Holloway has scored wins over Calvin Kattar and Yair Rodriguez.

The rest of UFC 276’s main card includes Sean Strickland facing Alex Pereira (the only man to ever KO Adesanya in kickboxing), Robbie Lawler vs. Bryan Barbarena and Pedro Munhoz vs. Sean O’Malley.

The undercard is also stacked with names, including Jim Miller vs. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, Brad Riddell vs. Jalin Turner, Uriah Hall vs. Andre Muniz and Jessica Eye vs. Maycee Barber.

Note that as of press time, Lawler vs. Barbarena is reported to be moving to the main card from the prelims. No word on which early prelim bout will be moved up to the later prelims.
