UFC Vegas 19: Curtis Blaydes vs. Derrick Lewis fight card, live stream & TV info.
Top-5 heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis are set to meet in the main event at UFC Vegas 19, with the winner inching that much closer to a shot at the title.
The two were originally scheduled to headline UFC Vegas 15 in November, but a positive Covid-19 test for Blaydes forced the UFC to push the bout back a few months.
Lewis is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, grabbing wins over the likes of Aleksei Oleinik, Ilir Latifi and Blagoy Ivanov. Lewis competed for the UFC heavyweight title back at UFC 230, but was defeated handily by champion Daniel Cormier.
Blaydes, who has only lost twice in his 17-fight professional career, is seeking his first shot at the heavyweight strap. “Razor” has put together four-straight wins following a second loss to Francis Ngannou in 2018. Logically, Blaydes should be the next title contender should he defeat No. 4 Lewis, but if Ngannou is to defeat Miocic at UFC 260 or Jon Jones slides in, it could be a much longer wait for the Elevation Fight Team standout.
