Bucs get great news on star wide receiver Mike Evans

While folks were incredibly worried about Mike Evans and his injured hamstring, things aren’t serious whatsoever for the speedster.

It’s been a rough 24 hours for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team suffered a shocking loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday Night Football. In that defeat, the team saw multiple stars go down with injury, including Mike Evans.

Evans was ruled out with a hamstring injury and immediately fans began to worry that he could potentially miss extensive action. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, that won’t be the case.

Mike Evans has a strained hamstring and could play in Week 16

This Evans news is massive, especially after Tampa Bay was dealt a major blow with the Chris Godwin update. Per Schefter, Godwin suffered a torn ACL in the loss to New Orleans and he’ll now be out for the rest of the campaign. That’s just brutal.

Everyone saw how much the Tampa Bay offense struggled without Evans, Godwin and Leonard Fournette out on the field. The Saints had their way with Tampa Bay up front, frustrating Brady too.

On Sunday afternoon, the Bucs will look to bounce back going up against the Carolina Panthers in another fun NFC South showdown. Though Evans is a little banged up right now and dealing with some pain, there’s hope he’ll be able to play in this one.

Luckily for Tampa Bay, this doesn’t appear to be a long-term injury and Evans will be available to go for the final stretch of the campaign.
