People and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the news after TMZ’s initial reporting. “Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Twitter. “The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”

In an Instagram story posted to her private account, Aubrey shared a screenshot of a sweet message her dad sent her ahead of his stand-up performance.

“Thank u. Love u. Showtime!” the text read, per US Weekly. At the time, Saget was in the midst of his I Don’t Do Negative stand-up tour. His last stop was in Jacksonville, Florida, and he had a series of shows scheduled through spring.

A flurry of celebrities paid tribute to and mourned the loss Sunday night, including How I Met Your Mother costar Josh Radnor, fellow TV host Andy Cohen, and Fuller House actor John Stamos.

This morning, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen — who began their acting careers on Full House — also shared a statement about their onscreen dad. “Bob was the most loving, compassionate, and generous man,” the statement, obtained by People, read. “We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has.”
