Most Surprising Music News: Broadway announces it’s reopening this fall

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday (May 5) that Broadway will be back in business on Sept. 14, 2021, after it shut down on March 12, 2020, due to the pandemic. Theaters will reopen at 100% capacity. Tickets for Broadway shows are already on sale, with Wicked being the first to resume its U.S. tour. “Broadway is major part of our state’s identity and economy, and we are thrilled that the curtains will rise again,” Cuomo tweeted.
