Those who looked closely may have noticed a WWE 24/7 Championship belt draped over his leg during the song. Bad Bunny picked up the unique prize after pinning wrestler Akira Tozawa on WWE’s Raw in mid-February. A longtime wrestling fan, Bunny also took center stage at WWE Royal Rumble in late January to perform his track “Booker T.”
Elsewhere on SNL, which was hosted by Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page, Bad Bunny made a cameo as a rapping houseplant during a hilarious musical sketch titled “Loco.” The hip-hop-themed skit featured SNL‘s Ego Nwodim rapping about how the COVID-19 pandemic has slowly driven her insane. At one point, her plant comes to life as Bad Bunny, only to reveal that she’s “mentally ill.”
Later on, the rapper appeared again in a sketch called “Sea Shanty” during which — you guessed it! — Page, the musician, and the cast sang sea shanties, a trend which recently went viral on TikTok. In the bit, Bad Bunny plays the non-too-bright navigator of a whaling vessel. His map? A simple crayon drawing of a sailboat on some water.
