A New Legacy on HBO Max?

Space Jam: A New Legacy is coming to HBO Max. Here is what time Space Jam: A New Legacy is coming to HBO Max, how you can stream the movie starring LeBron James.

You won’t have to go to the movie theater to see Space Jam: A New Legacy, because the movie with LeBron James will be streaming on HBO Max.

Of course, if you prefer to watch the movie in the theater, you still can, but if you have HBO Max, you can watch from the comfort of your couch this weekend.

What time is Space Jam: A New Legacy on HBO Max?

Space Jam: A New Legacy will be on HBO Max Friday, July 16 at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 PT.

This release pattern follows what Netflix and other streaming platforms do. It’s released one minute into the day, so if you plan on staying up late to watch, you better get a nap in or have some caffeine handy, especially if you’re on the east coast.

How long will Space Jam: A New Legacy be on HBO Max?

The good thing about the HBO Max release is you can watch the movie as many times as you want vs. the one view you get with your movie theater ticket. However, there is a limited time you will be allowed to stream. Just like with Wonder Woman 1984, Mortal Kombat and Godzilla vs. Kong, the dual release means viewers can only stream the movie from July 16 until Aug. 16 before it’s removed. It will return to HBO Max at a later date, just as the aforementioned movies did.

How much does HBO Max cost?

Just like Hulu offers, HBO Max has two different subscription plans for would-be consumers. There is an ad-supported version, which costs $9.99 if you don’t mind having advertisements interrupt your viewing experience.

If you don’t want to have any interruptions, you can pay $14.99 for an ad-free viewing experience.

Space Jam: A New Legacy Rotten Tomatoes review

The early reviews for Space Jam: A New Legacy are not good. Rotten Tomatoes has a 38 percent score on its Tomatometer, so don’t expect many Academy Award nominations coming for the Looney Tunes movie. That said, the first movie didn’t get great reviews either and it shouldn’t dissuade you from watching if you wanted to watch, although you may want to temper your expectations.

The critic consensus reads: “Despite LeBron James’ best efforts to make a winning team out of the Tune Squad, Space Jam: A New Legacy trades the zany, meta-humor of its predecessor for a shameless, tired exercise in IP-driven branding.”

Space Jam: A New Legacy spoilers ahead

Will Michael Jordan make a cameo in Space Jam: A New Legacy?

Michael Jordan was the star of the original Space Jam, but will he be in the Space Jam sequel? That’s one of the burning questions ahead of the release, but Cheadle spilled the beans and spoiled the surprise in an interview with Access Hollywood when he said he will be in the movie. However, he did leave it a little unclear as to how he would be appearing because he said Jordan isn’t in the movie how people would expect. So what does that mean? You’ll have to watch to find out.
