The Cowboys scored a narrow win at Washington in Week 14, but here are five predictions as to why things will be easy for Dallas at home on Sunday night.

Dallas and Washington faced off against one another just two weeks ago, but the NFL schedule makers have them facing off again in this week’s edition of Sunday Night Football. The Cowboys won the Week 14 encounter by a narrow margin of seven points. Expect Mike McCarthy and his team to win the home edition of this division rivalry in a more comfortable manner.

COVID-19 is currently wreaking havoc on Ron Rivera’s roster which will likely have a strong impact on this game. Even at full strength, Washington would struggle to handle Dallas’ star-studded attack on their home turf.

Dak Prescott will count on his offensive line to hold up much better than they did just two weeks ago. Protecting the football and producing big plays will be the order of the day for the Cowboys on Sunday. Keep a close eye on the team’s No. 3 wideout to have a big impact against the Washington secondary.

5. Michael Gallup will catch a 30+ yard pass

Gallup would comfortably be a top-two wideout for almost every team in the league. In Dallas, he’s relegated to the No. 3 spot behind Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb.

That prevents Gallup from racking up the volume of catches he’d like on a weekly basis. It does not, however, stop him from stretching defenses vertically with his elite speed. Look for him to get behind the Washington safeties for a big play early in the game to loosen things up for Prescott and the Dallas offense.
